CHELMSFORD — Building Committee receives updates on fire stations, schools renovation. Tim Powderly, Chair, reported the Fire Stations Renovation Project at Engine #3 and Engine #5 remains on schedule and within budget despite permit delays; asbestos abatement is underway and arsenic-contaminated soil will be transported to a New Hampshire facility. South Row School's roof replacement and ceiling projects, both MSBA-funded, began mobilization in mid-June.

The Parker School Building Committee is nearing the end of feasibility study; MSBA feedback has been positive and the Committee expects to pursue schematic design pending MSBA approval, with potential January 2027 Special Town Meeting and debt exclusion vote required to fund the town's project cost.
