Chelmsford clean energy committee advances solar, EV networks

Chelmsford's Clean Energy and Sustainability Committee reviewed progress on solar and geothermal school projects at its April meeting. Sustainability Manager Chris Haley reported that McCarthy Middle School and South Row school are both updating roofs with solar installations, and the town received a climate leader grant to install geothermal and solar systems at the fire station at Roberts Field and solar at a second fire station. The committee is nearing completion of its electric vehicle charging network, with nine of ten chargers installed.
Building electrification studies for schools and the broader town remain underway.
