Chelmsford Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee approves spring event slate. Chair Bill Campbell and the seven-member committee endorsed a packed calendar including Transgender Day of Visibility on March 29 at the Chelmsford Community Arts center with PFLAG speaking; an Asian American and Pacific Islander Month rice festival May 14 at McCarthy cafeteria from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at no charge; Pride Month programming June 12 onward; and a Juneteenth celebration targeted for Saturday, June 13. Facing limited funds and fundraising restrictions, the committee identified corporate sponsorship and grant funding as priorities, with new member Sophy working to secure corporate partnerships.
