DATELINE — CHELMSFORD The Chelmsford Town Clerk's Office will close at noon on Monday, August 31, to finish preparations for next week's state primary, according to the town's News Flash service. All other town hall departments will keep their regular hours that day.
TOWN HALL
Town officials said the Clerk's Office will end business at noon on August 31, cutting its regular hours short so staff can finalize preparations ahead of the September 1 state primary. The early closure applies only to that office; every other municipal department at town hall will operate on its normal schedule.
The shortened hours are the latest administrative step tied to next week's election, as the town continues working through its pre-primary checklist before polls open Tuesday.
