Commission approves ADA access, trail, and maintenance projects

CHELMSFORD — Conservation Commission approves ADA and trail projects at March meeting. Chair Chris Garrahan and Commission members unanimously approved a grant-funded Americans with Disabilities Act access project at Heart Pond Beach, including new pedestrian walkways and storm water management infrastructure scheduled for completion by June 30, 2026. The Commission also unanimously approved a patio waiver at 28 Sixth Lane in a protected wetland buffer and backed the Northeast Mountain Bike Association trail separation plan at Russell Mill.
Members unanimously approved town culvert replacement at multiple locations, including replacement of corrugated metal pipes with PVC.
