Commission on Disabilities · Meeting of August 18, 2026
CHELMSFORD — The Commission on Disabilities paused an accessibility seminar for local businesses to prioritize member recruitment and town manager coordination. The three members present—Matt Pellegrino, Joanne Stanway, and Katrina Schmidt—agreed that meeting with new town manager Alex McGee, recruiting members, and conducting outreach to local committees demand more immediate attention. The Commission reviewed Massachusetts statutory requirements for disabilities commissions and concluded that three of its five members may constitute a quorum under state law.
Members agreed to investigate reports of police difficulty tracking accessible parking violations due to outdated technology.
