Committee schedules trail cleanup, backs water fountain plan

Chelmsford bicycle committee addresses trail safety, plans cleanup. Chair R. Klinkhammer led discussion of safety concerns at the BFRT parking lot entrance near Crosspoint Towers, including mopeds and encampments, and scheduled a community cleanup for April 18 at 8:00 AM.

Members were advised to report concerns to the Chelmsford Police Department. The committee also noted strong public support for installing a water fountain on the trail and continued planning the East Chelmsford Connector project while discussing the need for a town bike master plan for 2026.
