Committee schedules trail cleanup, discusses ongoing projects

Chelmsford bicycle committee schedules spring trail cleanup. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, called to order by Vice Chair M. Carignan at 6:31 p.m. with six members present, approved the previous meeting's minutes and scheduled a trail cleanup event for April 18 at Crosspoint Towers.

The committee plans to develop a formal kiosk posting policy and will discuss Golden Cove Road crossing safety concerns with the Department of Public Works. Public attendees reported that the Yankee Doodle Trail extension received $7 million in state funding and that FORTT voted unanimously to support a Rourke Bridge to Crosspoint Towers connection.
