Community Preservation Committee Approves $17,440 in Open Space Projects

Chelmsford Community Preservation Committee approves $17,440 in open space improvements. Judy Carven was unanimously elected Committee Chair, Maura Snow as Vice Chair, and Evan Belansky as Clerk. The Committee unanimously authorized $13,940 from the Open Space Capital Improvement Account for fencing and guard rail installation at Koulas Farm Reservation, intended to delineate and protect the vernal pool buffer area.
The board also unanimously approved $3,500 for water system improvements at the Wotton Street Community Garden, including a new well and pressurized water system modeled on a prior $4,500 project at Sunny Meadow Farm.
