CHELMSFORD — The Conservation Commission declined to vote on a Putnam Brook planting proposal at Warren-Pohl Reservation after members objected to additional studies before implementation. Chair Chris Garrahan's board split 4-2 in debate, with David McLachlan, John Swenson, and Marc Gibbs opposing further spending after $15,000 in prior design costs and questioning whether meadow views needed protection via plantings. In regulatory action, the commission unanimously approved a Standard Order of Conditions for New England Power Company transmission line rights-of-way K137E/L138/337, incorporating weekly reporting and a work sequence.
The board continued a 2,168-square-foot contractor garage proposal for Jerry Daley & Sons Plumbing & Heating at 91 Tyngsboro Road to September 8, pending peer review of flood storage calculations in a flood-prone zone.
