Chelmsford Council on Aging Board approves June minutes and hears leadership transition update. Chair Bob Schneider announced that Alex Magee, formerly Deputy Town Manager in Andover, will assume the town's top position pending contract negotiations. The board heard acoustic tiles for the Senior Center are expected within the month and will be installed by the Department of Public Works.
Ruth I'Anson reported that the Friends' summer raffle raised over $1,700 and the organization will hold its annual meeting July 22 with one open board seat. The Program Committee's Tall Ships trip sold out; future trips include Ogunquit Playhouse in September and Fenway Park in mid-August.
