CHELMSFORD — Council on Aging Board thanks state legislator for $25K earmark. Director Debi Siriani reported to the board that she has hired Jeanne Teehan as the new manager of the Social Day Program and is finalizing paperwork to fill the vacant Principal Clerk position. The board unanimously approved a thank-you letter to state Representative Jim Arciero for securing a $25,000 state earmark for facility improvements.

Major upgrades underway include acoustic tile installation, floor replacement before town meeting, and an elevator project slated to begin January 1 and last approximately three months. The Friends of the Chelmsford Senior Center voted to purchase two new pool tables and are researching the feasibility of acquiring a larger van, though driving vehicles with more than 14 passengers requires a commercial driver's license.
