Chelmsford Finance Committee approves prior meeting minutes, sets $2.36M free cash agenda. Town Accountant Heather Russo presented a FY2026 financial report showing a $3 million general fund surplus and $2.36 million in certified free cash. Town Manager Alex Magee and Finance Director John Sousa discussed 18 warrant articles for the October 19 town meeting, proposing $800,000 for roads and sidewalks, $350,000 for Town Hall bathroom renovation, and $844,352 to the General Stabilization Fund.
The allocations will be voted on by all residents at the October 19 town meeting.
