Heart Pond accessibility project moves forward with state grant

CHELMSFORD — Commission on Disabilities receives Heart Pond accessibility grant update. The town secured a $65,000 state grant from the Massachusetts Office on Disability for approximately $120,000 in improvements at Heart Pond, including sidewalk installation, wheelchair ramps, and drainage repairs. Director of Public Works Christine Clancy briefed the Commission on additional accessibility projects at Harrington Field, Highland Field, Koulis Farm, and Sunny Meadows.

The Commission allocated $3,000 for 2026 CCOD Scholarships by unanimous vote.
