Historic District Commission approves design standards update
Historic District Commission · Meeting of February 2, 2026
CHELMSFORD — The Chelmsford Historic District Commission unanimously approved updates to its Review Standards during its February 2 meeting. Chair Brenda Lovering presided over the five-member body, which approved Design Guidelines Review Standards updates without dissent. Three items of continued business — an open sign at Thai Restaurant by the CCA, unauthorized lighting at the Metro Credit Union building, and unauthorized signage at a dentist office on Chelmsford Street — remained pending and were tabled to the March 2 meeting.
The commission also noted that First Parish Church, which is planning roof work, lacks architectural plans required by the Building Inspector and found no plans in Historic District records.
