CHELMSFORD — Library Trustees approve $150,000 endowment CD and defer health request. Chair Kevin Hamilton led the board through three investment recommendations from financial advisor John Sousa, unanimously approving the transfer of $150,000 from Citizens Bank to a new 35-month Library Endowment CD at Lowell Five at 3.5 percent APY. The trustees also unanimously approved moving the Aaron George Fund, George Fund, and Serlina Richardson Fund from Citizens to the Mass Municipal Depository Trust, while deferring a consolidation plan to restore the Amos Adams Fund to $10,000.
The board approved June 11 as Staff Day and voted unanimously to contribute toward a gift card for retiring staff member Andrea Grant.
