Parade Committee approves Flagship Drumline, eyes banner and float fundraising.

Parade Committee · Meeting of February 10, 2026

Chelmsford Parade Committee approves $4,800 contract with Flagship Drumline for July 4th parade. Committee Chair Eric Linstead reported that Zarumba will join as the only Canadian band; a new stage banner must be commissioned after the previous one went missing. The Concert on the Common is ready to proceed with performer Jilly and her group.

Paige Gilet will promote float and sponsorship applications across social media and town digital boards, emphasizing 250th anniversary prizes. The committee approved distribution of 2,500 to 5,000 custom balloons bearing the town logo and 250th anniversary marking from the Route 495 bridge to downtown.
