Parade Committee settles contract, scouts 250th anniversary attractions

CHELMSFORD — Parade Committee finalizes 2026 lineup for 250th anniversary celebration. The committee signed performer Jilly Martin for the Concert on the Common and confirmed the parade marshal selection, with Lynn Marcella to meet the chosen honoree. Chair Eric Linstad is reaching out to the New England Patriots to gauge availability of players and the mascot, while Sean Hannaway will contact the Air Force Band at Hanscom.
The committee is exploring participation by U.S. Olympians Chevron Forgan (doubles luge) and Jack Eicel (hockey team). Sponsor applications are ready; Paige Gilet will present new banner designs by February 10.
Paul Cohen is investigating whether the Department of Public Works will paint the town logo and 250th anniversary designs on the road from the bridge to the reviewing stand.
