School Building Committee · Meeting of March 19, 2026

CHELMSFORD — Parker School Building Committee advances $272.6M project toward Massachusetts School Building Authority submission. The committee approved $92,734 in March invoices and reviewed a preliminary reimbursement analysis projecting approximately $105 million in MSBA support, leaving an estimated district share of $167 million. Architects presented six design options — three new construction and three addition/renovation approaches — ranging from grades 5–6 to grades 5–8 configurations and square footages between 162,300 and 340,500 square feet.

Julie Rivera of Ai3 Architects recommended a grades 4–6 configuration at approximately 1,390 students as the most balanced approach to resolve overcrowding in a single project. The committee will select a preferred design option on April 16, 2026, for MSBA submission.
