Select Board · Meeting of August 10, 2026
Chelmsford Select Board unanimously ratifies Town Manager Alex Magee contract; he starts August 31. The Board also voted 4-1 to schedule a January 11 special town meeting and February 9 debt exclusion election for the Parker Middle School building project, which carries a $265 million total cost and requires Massachusetts School Building Authority approval within 120 days. Chair Pat Wojtas dissented, preferring the debt exclusion appear on the April general election ballot.
The Board approved two municipal bids: $83,838 to Dagle Electrical Construction Corp. for police station power supply replacement, and $73,000 to Amado Energy Solutions for a municipal building electrification roadmap study. The Board also directed the Town Manager to send a support letter to the House Committee on Ways and Means for H.5429, emergency legislation providing injured-on-duty compensation for Firefighter Nicholas Spinale.
