Select Board approves three DPW construction bids totaling $1.15 million

CHELMSFORD — Select Board unanimously approves three DPW construction bids. The board backed bid awards totaling $1,151,898.80 for Byam School improvements ($671,318.80 to Sunshine Paving Corporation), roof replacement at the DPW and School Administration buildings ($434,890 to WPI Construction, Inc.), and cleaning services ($45,710 to Pro City Facility Services, Inc.). Vice Chair Jeffrey A.
Hardy moved all approvals, seconded by Clerk David R. Boisvert. The board also unanimously granted four National Grid utility pole petitions and a one day liquor license to American Legion Alberton W.
Vinal Post 313 for a June 13 block party, appointed Rachel Ford to the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee for a three year term, and heard a presentation on PFAS sampling results and remedial system expansion at 54 Richardson Road.
