The Town of Chelmsford announced Oct. 30 that the Town Clerk's Office will stop regular business at noon on Monday, Nov. 2, so staff can prepare for the State Election on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

All other town hall departments will keep their regular hours that day, the town said.

Voters who qualify to vote absentee in person may do so at the Clerk's Office between 8:30 a.m. and noon on Nov. 2.

The three drop boxes at Town Hall will remain available for voters to return mailed ballots that arrive after the office closes at noon.

"We thank you for your understanding as we work to make sure everything is ready for you to vote at Tuesday's election!" the town said in the release.
