CHELMSFORD — Vinal Square Strategic Action Plan Committee endorsed a regional transit feasibility study exploring commuter rail, light rail, and bus rapid transit between Lowell and Nashua. Deputy Director Kelly Lynema of the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments presented the approximately 750,000 dollar study, to be funded through FY2027 MPO planning resources with coordination among MassDOT, MBTA, and regional partners. The committee approved a revised meeting schedule eliminating July and December sessions and voted to relocate future meetings to a hybrid-capable Senior Center room to improve acoustics and accessibility.

Bill Gillette reported the Veterans Memorial Clock project neared completion with formal unveiling planned for Memorial Day activities.
