CHELMSFORD — Vinal Square Strategic Action Plan Committee unanimously approved corrected prior minutes and advanced the Veterans Memorial Clock installation. DPW Director Christine Clancy presented two design options; committee members supported creating a small pocket park configuration for the clock, which is scheduled for installation April 29, with possible coordination of the unveiling event with Memorial Day activities in North Chelmsford. The committee reached consensus on using artificial flowers and plantings for seasonal displays to ease maintenance demands.
NMCOG representative Kelly Lymena will present details on the Nashua-Lowell commuter rail feasibility study at the May 11 meeting, and Historical Commission representatives have been invited to discuss National Register Historic District designation options.
