CHELMSFORD — The Vinal Square Strategic Action Plan Committee approved prior minutes and updated nine ongoing projects. Chair Virginia Crocker Timmins oversaw discussions of Varney Park and Beach accessibility work, which has raised ten thousand dollars through the Rare Road Foundation, and the Boat Ramp initiative, which is progressing well. Acting Town Manager John Sousa noted the Revolving Fund has received no deposits in two years and proposed a QR code donation option.
Sousa submitted a letter of support for the Lowell-Nashua commuter rail project, with Community Development Director Evan Belansky attending the next rail meeting on June 9, 2026.
